New Semester
Workday - 8:45am-6:45pm
It's semester 2. It has been for over a week, actually. A lot has happened, but it's too much to get completely caught up. I'm teaching two grade 10 applied math classes (in a portable, even. Ugh) and a grade 10 keyboarding.
My math classes keep ballooning in size. They started off as respectably small (applied classes should never be large, anyway. These students need more "teacher time"), but every day EACH class got 1-2 new students. You can always expect that to happen, but I have a feeling the grade 10 course gets worse than most others. Plus, my two sections are the only sections of grade 10 applied math. Thus, if any kid gets transferred in, he's mine.
I have a first-period "spare" again. Note the time I arrived to work this morning (can't get away with that, normally!). I like that period off so I can prepare the day's lessons last-minute if I didn't have time to do them earlier.
Tonight, our school hosted the local trivia teams' tournament. I stayed with our team and read about half of the questions. It was a late night, after three games.
Ok. It's 8:30pm. I'm so hungry I'm nauseated.
